Consulting a psychiatrist is something people don’t think seriously. But the truth is, only a professional can help in any such case. We cannot do trials.
I feel in our society many people suffer from depression and anxiety but they did not considered it serious or feel hesitate to take professional consultation due to stigma attached with various mental issues. I agree these mental health issues are like slow poison and people should take professional help, if things are not manageable on their own.

I agree with all your thoughts in fact many of us undergo phases of anxiety and even kids too especially in this lockdown scenario but one thing I feel the need is that these counsellors be more accessible to the masses. Currently for every sitting the doctors charge 800-1000 Rs. And these problems requires recurring visits.

In our country, there is still a taboo about mental health, if it all is discussed, it is done in hushed tones. But it is so necessary that mental issues are addressed at the earliest. These are all the signals that point towards a visit to the psychiatrist.

I’m glad that when I was going through a serious depressing phase my friend made me see a psychiatrist. It was a good decision and helped me deal with it very well. Nothing wrong in it!
