While monsoons give respite from the summer heat but it also has the potential to harm your skin. With increased dampness and humidity in the atmosphere, the skin may suffer and you may notice sudden erupt of acnes, unnecessary pimples and red bumps on the face which is irritating and unpleasant. Humidity and constant temperature changes cause sensitive skin more prone to pimples and acne. And thus, we need to take more care of our skin during monsoons seasons. Top 10 Homemade face packs for monsoon season
Multani Mitti face pack- Multani Mitti has oil-absorbing, cleansing and antiseptic properties which is quite remedial for skin problems.

- Add Multani Mitti, rose water and little camphor to form a smooth paste. Store the paste in an airtight conditioner and can be kept in the fridge. Apply the small portion of the face pack several times a day.
- Alternately add Multani Mitti, clove oil, sandalwood powder and neem paste. This is a good pack for pimple problems. Use it daily for better effects.
Curd & Jojoba oil face pack- Take 2tbsp Jojoba oil, one tbsp honey and 2 tbsp of fresh curd. Mix everything evenly and apply the pack to the face and neck. Let it sit for 15 mins and then you can wash with normal tap water. Its good for dry skin as the natural qualities of honey and curd helps moisturize the skin.
Besan face pack- Mix Besan, turmeric, lemon and rose water and make a paste. Apply this pack on your face and wash off after 15-20 minutes. It will impart a natural glow to your face.
Sandal powder face pack- Take two tablespoons of sandalwood powder and add half a cup of rose water and one tablespoon of turmeric powder. Mix them all and make a paste to apply evenly on your face. Let it stay for 20-30 mins and rinse it off later with cold water. This face pack will help clean the scar and colour of the skin.
Oatmeal face pack- For this magical pack, you need 3 tbsp oatmeal, 1 egg white, 1 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp fresh curd. Mix all the ingredients and keep them in the refrigerator to make it cold. Wash your face and apply the pack evenly on your face. Leave it for 10-15 mins and wash the face.
Banana fruit pack- Most easily available in the house Bananas are the powerhouse and helps a lot in skincare. Banana helps in unclogging the pores, removes the dead cells deep from within and also exfoliates the skin. Take a ripe banana mix with lemon juice and a tablespoon of honey to the pack. Some orange can be added to reduce the oil from the sebaceous glands on the face.
Cucumber face pack- Cucumber with 95% water is one of the great ingredients to hydrate the skin and body. All you need to do is apply cucumber juice on your face evenly and leave it on for some time. Regular use improves complexion and reduces fine lines, wrinkles, blemishes and other signs of ageing as it contains vitamin E and potassium. The cucumber helps in keeping your skin moisturized in the monsoon and bleaching of the skin will add glow to your facial skin.
Green Tea face pack– Green tea has many benefits for the overall health of the body. It has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce redness caused by acne. So, all you need to do is take some green tea, grind it to powder, mix it with yoghurt, and few drops of essential oil that you like. Apply the mixture evenly on your face and neck and wait for 10 mins. Wash it off with warm water to get soft and supple skin.
Fresh fruit pack- You can use a combination of fruits to make a wonderful face pack. Just crush the fruits mixture in a grinder and add some honey and apply it to your face. Keep it on your face for 20 minutes and wash it off.
Honey and lemon- These two are also ingredients that are easily available in the house. Simple and effective face mask you just need to take 2 spoons of honey and juice of half a lemon slice. Mix it well and apply it evenly to your face. It helps in getting clear skin as lemon is a natural cleanser.

I have tried honey lemon mask a couple of weeks ago and loved the feel of my skin. Here, in Houston we don’t get mansion season in particular but with the humidity, it feels good to give our skin some freshness. I want to try Cucumber. face pack.
My skin is super sensitive and I always try homemade face pack. These all packs are amazing and I use many of them..Would love to use fresh fruit pack for the very first time.
Multani mitti and besan packs are my favourites. I should also add curd to my skincare routine. Anything with egg is a big no no though since I just can’t take the smell!
I was waiting for this post Rakhi. loved all the face packs you have suggested here. I had tried most of these but curd and jojoba oil face mask is new to me. the combination sounds interesting to me, would love to give this a try. thanks for sharing dear.
Besan mask is one of my favorite and I use this so once a week. Thanks for sharing all these face masks it will help me try them as well.
These are some excellent homemade face packs for the monsoon. The best thing about them is you do not have to scout around for the ingredients, they are all usually found in your kitchen. Some of the best are the ones made of Besan, the oatmeal one, and the sandal powder one.

There are a couple of face packs mentioned here that I absolutely love and have been using regularly for my skincare routine. Cucumber and lemon & honey ones are my favorites. My skin is a combination one and a bit sensitive too so I prefer using the homemade masks more over the store-bought ones 🙂
