If you are looking to make a bold statement in your house and not have to spend too much money then you can go for indoor big leaf plants. Big leaf plants make for a beautiful addition to corners in your house and add the element of greenery too. I have recently added fiddle fig to my collection and just can’t stop loving it and how beautiful it looks.
So today in my post I am sharing such lovely indoor big leaf plants that you could add to your collection.
- Fiddle Leaf fig- This is my favorite indoor big leaf plant. It has glossy and stunning lush leaves. It looks absolutely gorgeous and makes for a bold statement in your living room. This is a little finicky plant and does not like changes much. So do not move it often, once you have placed it somewhere keep it constant or it will affect the leaves.
- Monstera- I fail to choose which one is my most favorite and this one is like a dream come true. It’s one of the most beautiful and creative plants created by god. It has huge glossy dark green leaves. It is also called a swiss cheese plant and is a striking addition to your room. These can be grown indoors with moderate temperature and good humidity. Keep this away from curious pets as it has calcium oxalate crystals, which are toxic to pets. Since it’s an expensive plant ensure that you take proper care.
- Rubber Plant- The rubber plant is one of the best hardy plants to keep indoors. It makes for a beautiful piece for the thick leaves in a maroon and green shade. They do not need much care but yes, they do need moderate watering. Too much and too little can cause root rot as well and kill the plant eventually.
- Dumb Cane- This is a beautiful and sturdy plant with long leaves and has a mix of colors. The leaves are a lovely mix of white, yellow, and green. It’s a low maintenance plant and great for bedrooms, passage, and office as well. It can grow up to 5 feet tall in indirect light.
- Ruffled fan Palm- Ruffled palm is a perfect addition if you are looking for big leaves plant indoors. It has huge fan-shaped leaves thus the name and growing this indoors is not difficult. If you love to have bigger pots indoors then go ahead and get one ruffled palm for your living room.
- Croton- This is a lovely multicolored plant that can survive both indoors and outdoors. The bright mix of colors on their leaf adds vibrance to your house décor. They usually prefer bright light but if you are planning to keep them indoors then ensure regular misting to maintain a good level of humidity.
- Areca Palm-Areca palm is also known as bamboo palm, butterfly plan and golden cane palm is a beautiful addition to your living room décor. This one doesn’t like direct light and the leaves will dry and turn brown with too much light. Keep it in indirect light to the indoor bright-lit area. They look beautiful in the corners of the house. Water moderately and the soil should be dry between watering.
- Bird of paradise plant– If you like the jungle kind of vibes in your house you can get this beautiful bird of paradise plant. It grows up to 6 feet tall and has a beautiful flower bloom as well and the leaves split as they mature. They prefer high sunlight and humidity as well. So, remember to keep them near the window with bright light.
- Umbrella tree- This is also one of the popular indoor plants with bug banana-shaped leaves. The mixture of green and yellow leaves of this plant adds great color to your corner or anywhere you place it.
- Bamboo– Yes Bamboo makes for a beautiful addition to your living room décor. You can grow it easily indoors just ensures that it gets bright and direct light if kept in the house and regular watering.
So that’s all for today. These are some of the Indoor Big leaf Plants that I have and can vouch for the beauty they add to your house. Stay tuned for some more amazing posts coming your way.
